About

The Office of Continuity Planning (OCP) is within the Administration Division of the Berkeley Campus, and reports to Associate Vice Chancellor Ron Coley.

Founded in 2002 (as the Office of Business Resumption), OCP's areas of focus are
  • Departmental Readiness.  We assist departments throughout campus (instructional, research, public service, collections, and support departments) to become ready for adverse events by creating and implementing continuity plans;
  • Campus Readiness.  We coordinate readiness activities among departments, and recommend actions to leadership at all levels of the campus;
  • UC-Wide Readiness.  We collaborate with all the other UC campuses and medical centers to develop a common framework for event-readiness across the UC System.

Staff.  OCP has two full-time staff:

  • Amina Assefa, Manager
  • Haron Abrahimi, Continuity Planner
