Continuity planning at Berkeley utilizes our web-based tool, called UC Ready. This tool was developed here at Berkeley to help our 300+ academic departments, research units, public service units, and support units make themselves more disaster-ready.
Many campus units began using the tool in one of its earlier versions, either Restarting Berkeley (v1) or the Berkeley Continuity Planning Tool (v2). The current UC Ready version (v3) was designed collaboratively by staff from all of the UC campuses & medical centers. It is now in use throughout the UC System.
Select either the full version of UC Ready (to use it) or the demonstration version (to view without using).
FULL VERSION: The full version of the UC Ready tool is accessed via UCB's Blu portal, requires a CalNet ID, and is accessible to UCB faculty, staff, and students only.
DEMONSTRATION VERSION: The demonstration version is fully functional and accessible to the public. The viewer will see the complete planning tool (all screens) plus a sample plan. Take it out for a "test drive."
OTHER INSTITUTIONS CAN OBTAIN THIS TOOL FOR THEIR OWN USE
Numerous institutions outside the UC System have expressed interest in obtaining the UC Ready planning tool. We are happy to provide the tool to any institution of higher education at no charge. You can install the tool on your own campus, and modify it in any way to fit your institution. The complete installation package is available on our download page .
